With the family's blessing we're having our annual Memorial Pool Tournament this May for Dave Decker.
The three things Dave loved to do at Post 1760 was pool, Coors Light & Hornitos. In light of that we're having this tournament back along with drink specials for Coors Light Bottles and Hornitos tequila from the start of the tournament to 10p.
Tournament type: 24 Entry cap, Singles tournament, Double Elimination, single game rounds
No pre-registration before 1:30pm on day of event.
Participants: Open to all non-profit veteran card carrying members and their guests.
Schedule:
10:00am: Open pool tables from canteen opening to start of tournament
2:00pm: Early check-in / registration
3:00pm: Tournament starts
*Late Entries are accepted pending the progress of the tournament in the first round. No entries accepted in the second round or thereafter.
Rules: Common US Bar Rules for American 8-Ball ( CALL POCKET ), Jeannie Decker serve as our "Rules Official" for the event.
Fee: $10 entry
Registration is the day of (no pre-registrations).
Awards: cash awards for top 3 finalists, 100% payout -
3rd place $10, 2nd place 25% of kitty, 1st place 75% of kitty + an authentic Dave Decker trophy (a trophy from Dave's collection of past won trophies). (2nd & 1st cash prizes rounded to the nearest $5 increment)
In addition, the Decker family will be bring out food for patrons to share. Additional food are most definitely welcome!
