Come join wear blue: run to remember in honoring our Nation’s fallen military heroes this Memorial Day, May 27th at 8am for our wear blue: run to remember Memorial Day community event

When you commit to run or walk on Memorial Day, we will provide the name of a fallen service member, who has given his or her life since the the first days of the Vietnam War. Together, we ensure the enduring remembrance of these over 65,000 fallen service members, as we learn their stories, speak their names, and honor their legacies.

Honoring the fallen through purposeful steps is an act of gratitude that humanizes the loss of our military members and fosters healing. Our mission is more important than ever.

Participation is FREE OF CHARGE and open to the public. Simply register and commit to run or walk a meaningful number of miles this Memorial Day. Together we will run for the fallen, for the fighting, and for the families.

This year we are partnering with the Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza and the City of Sparks Parks and Recreation. We will meet at the plaza at Sparks Marina at Address: 300 Howard Dr, Sparks, NV 89434

We will begin with a moment of silence. Afterwards, participants will join together in a circle of remembrance, call out the name(s) for whom we run/walk/bike/jog, and push onward to honor and remember. All ages and abilities welcome!! The path is wide and is bike/stroller friendly as well!

**We are currently looking for donations for snacks, coffee, printed flyers, and raffle prizes. We are also looking for a group to present colors Please feel free to email us at sparks.community@wearblueruntoremember.org with contacts, questions, or concerns!

Our goal is to empower the families of the fallen, support our military and their families, and ensure that our nation’s heroes are never forgotten. Thank you for taking purposeful steps in blue. For the fallen. For the fighting. For the families.
